Niklas Zennström - H&M Group

Niklas Zennström is a Swedish billionaire entrepreneur best known for founding several high-profile online ventures with Janus Friis including Skype and Kazaa. More recently he founded the technology investment firm Atomico and has become a significant figurehead for entrepreneurs in the tech sector. Zennström is also the co-founder of the charity organization Zennström Philanthropies. Zennström Philanthropies was founded by Niklas and Cathrine Zennström in 2007, with two strategic programmes designed to support human rights and the environment. After years of working on global environmental problems Zennström Philanthropies initiated Race For The Baltic, a foundation for a well-managed and sustainable Baltic Sea. Zennström works closely with Rovio, Mapillary, Pipedrive, Truecaller and Farmdrop in addition to running the firm, which has invested in Klarna, Supercell and Rovio. In 2007, he cofounded Zennström Zennström admits that it is difficult to apply the same kind of mindset. With Skype, they were producing a new product to compete with existing technologies; with Zennström Philanthropies, they’re aiming to help change the system where markets for environmental solutions don’t yet exist.
